Chipotle Sauce – Hot Sauce Complete Recipe and Review

Hot Chipotle Sauce Recipe:

⦁ 1\4 cup mayonnaise (or sour cream for a lighter version)
⦁ 1-2 tablespoon chipotle pepper in adobo sauce( adjust desired level heat level)
⦁ 1 tablespoon lime juice (for a bit a acidity)
⦁ 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
⦁ 1-2 teaspoon garlic powder (or minced garlic)
⦁ Salt and pepper to your taste
⦁ 1-2 teaspoon olive oil (optional)
⦁ Water (optional)

1.Prepare Chipotle peppers:

If using whole chipotle pepper in adobo sauce , remove a few peppers from the can (depending on how spicy you wants the sauce), chop them finely , mash them into a paste. Add some of the adobo sauce to enhance the smokiness.

In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise( or a sauce cream ) and chipotle paste. Add lime juice, garlic powder, honey (Optional).

If the sauce is too thick, thin it out with a little water or olive oil to achieve a smooth, pourable consistency.

Taste and add salt and pepper to your taste. You can adjust the lime juice or honey for additional flavor balance.

Lets the sauce chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 mins and use the sauce immediately or store it in a container for later use.

for vegans

Use vegan mayo or cashew cream instead of regular mayo , and replace the honey with maple syrup or agave nectar
